I have been (very sporadically) working on my own novel for the last couple of months. I know what the characters are called and what the main story line is going to be, and I think I have now figured out what kind of book it's going to be. It was originally going to be a paranormal romance novel, but now I'm leaning toward more of a young adult type book.
I'm not going to give away any of my great ideas here, but I feel that I am writing a different kind of book than what I am used to reading. I want it to be a bit more realistic than most books, and a bit different. Not just the typical shy pretty girl meeting a dashing macho boy and falling in love - of course with some mysterious trouble beween the falling in love and ending up happily ever after... That is not real life, people!
