My former favourite book :)

Before Twilight came and took over my world, I was all about The Thorn Birds, by Colleen McCullough. I have read it many, many times, and it sits on my bookshelf in three copies - two in Swedish and one in English. I tried for a long time to get it in French, too, but it was always very hard to come by.

Anyway, it is such a good book, I think everyone should read it. There's no way to get through it without laughing, crying, being horrified and falling in love. It's absolutely beautiful!

I got so hooked on it, I also have every other book McCullough has written. I got stuck in her Ceasar series a couple of years ago as they're really heavy reading, but all the ones I've read have been great.

The only downside to The Thorn Birds is the 1983 series based on it. After falling in love with Ralph in the books, at least I was quite disappointed to find Richard Chamberlain in the role. I mean, how sexy is he, really?? Thoughts?

Thank God for Edward, that's all I can say! Looking forward to Breaking Dawn, by the way...
