My own book tells the story about... let's call them Sasha and Oscar, who are in a way normal young adults, and in a way anything but normal. Sasha is a bit of a wild girl, while Oscar is more on the shy side. And no, they are not both human. But I absolutely promise, though I am a huge vampire fan, that they are not vampires. :)
I have read many paranormal books for young adults, and I mostly find them rather unrealistic. Well, at least my life's story has never been told in their beautiful tales about handsome and dangerous young men meeting shy and pretty girls. Sure, I've been quite shy and my husband is handsome, but I've still never really seen myself in the books. Still, Sasha is not going to be a fictional version of me, but maybe she'll illustrate something of me, and something of the things I see around me in real life. Apart from the paranormal bits, haha. :D
Hmm, I really need to take a weekend to work on my book. It's just sooo much easier to read someone else's...
