Very cute!

I have to say my feelings regarding Victoria Connelly's A Weekend with Mr Darcy were constantly changing while I read it. At times I felt it was annoyingly similar to Alexandra Potter's Me and Mr Darcy, at times I was totally in love with the characters, at times I felt bored with the fact that I sooo knew what was going to happen, but by the end I felt that it was a very cute book. Oh, and it talked about Jane Austen's house in Chawton, which I think me and my sisters visited when we were in England...uhhmm... 14 years ago??? Boy, how old do I feel now...

Professor Katherine Roberts goes on an exended Jane Austen weekend in the country, where she meets an interesting man, who she at first doesn't like, but perhaps that will change. Hmm, sounds a bit familiar? Very much like Pride and Prejudice and Me and Mr Darcy. Well anyway, super cute story, nice characters, very well worth spending a lazy Friday with. :)

I still am a bit bored with the fact that all books seem to be very predictable, but perhaps I should read something else than romance novels and love stories if I am to expect surprising endings. Of course I love a happy ending, and I don't really know how to avoid the obvious story in this kind of books, so maybe it just can't be done. I'll have to pay for my complaining if I ever manage to get my own book published (and even written...) and it is probably just as predictable as all the other ones out there...
