Mockingjay read and movie seen

I just had time to finish the third book, Mockingjay before I went to watch the Hunger Games movie yesterday. The third book is quite different from the first two. The events are very different, but the atmosphere is the same, somehow at the same time beautiful, haunting, terrifying and action-packed.

Oh, it's so annoying to write a review of a book when you can't even mention who the book is about! Those of you who have read the first two books already know, but if by chance someone were to read this who has not even read the first book, I don't want to tell you how it turned out. But trust me, you do want to know how this trilogy ends, so get the book! The first time I read it I somehow didn't like the ending, it felt a bit weird to be, but this second time I actually cried a bit. Don't expect a traditional happy ending.

The Hunger Games movie was excellent by the way! Me and my husband, who are both over 30, felt a bit middle-aged among all the 14-year-olds at the cinema, most of which were girls, too, but never mind. I really enjoyed the movie. It was very touching, and they didn't focus so much on all the blood and death, which was fine by me. I'll give both the movie and the book trilogy a 9 out of 10. And I'll go ahead and give Josh Hutcherson's eyes a 10 out of 10. *swoon*
