In the beginning of City of Ashes I was really thinking that I wouldn't get the next books in the series, because I wasn't sure the series was for me. And well, I already follow so many book series that it might be a good idea to leave one. But then I got all caught up in the story and especially in the varying interpersonal relationships between Clary, Simon, Jace, Magnus, Alec, Maia, Isabelle, Luke etc. Cassandra Clare has written such beautiful friendships, family relationships and various romantic relationships, whether traditional, non-traditional or really quite odd. I do have a feeling about one of the relationships, that it isn't what it looks like, but I don't want to give anything away. And I might be totally wrong. And there's one quite non-traditional relationship that I looooove! Involving the oh-so-intriguing warlock Magnus. Anyway, I would certainly recommend this series to young adults looking for adventure, romance and lots of paranormal action. The next two books in the series are waiting in my Adlibris shopping cart. :)
